About

Minju Gwak is a graduate researcher at Yonsei University focused on understanding the internal dynamics of reasoning in large language models. Her research investigates the information-theoretic and structural properties of multi-step reasoning, analyzing how entropy, uncertainty, and internal signals evolve across reasoning traces. By developing process-level metrics and interpretive frameworks, she studies how reflection, certainty, and planning emerge during model inference. The questions she is currently most interested in are: What are the structural patterns of reasoning in LLMs, and to what extent do they reflect genuine reasoning rather than memorization? Then, how does environmental interaction perturb or reshape those structures? She is advised by Prof. Jaehyung Kim in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Yonsei University.
